What if the table was more than simply a place to eat? What if it was an invitation to connect and share the truth of Scripture?
Honoring the feasts celebrated in the Bible is one way to follow God’s wisdom guiding us in creating consistent, intergenerationally focused discipleship environments. The table is not only a place to gather, but a powerful tool to get the truths of Scripture into us in a transformative way.
The table is a critical environment in the big story of Scripture, and it often served as the setting for where God’s people would remember and celebrate the provision, promises, and presence of God. This is because, not only was the table central to the culture of ancient Israel, but also God established His appointed times in such a way that feasting and fellowship were part of HOW they would remember Him and His story.
In children’s ministry, we have the opportunity to awaken connection in families and ultimately, the church. Join this conversation with leader Michayla White and discover ways we can invite families to the table as we, together, connect with God.
