I grew up as a child of missionaries in Asia, but I am now a “missionary” serving in kid’s ministry at our local church and evangelizing our children at home. I’m a grateful mother and an inveterate DIYer, and while I don’t hunt, I do gather—mostly people. If you wonder where the wild things are, come visit me at my house in a suburb of Chicago where you will likely find three half-naked boys practicing battle cries, at least one but no more than twenty members of my extended family camped out, and—between my PhD-holding husband’s academic texts and my literary tomes—enough books to build an ark in which to sail away to any number of other worlds.
