At Because International, we work to alleviate poverty through The Shoe That Grows, a shoe that expands five sizes for kids impacted by poverty. Since launching, more than 400,000 pairs have been distributed to kids round the world—thanks to the support of church mission trips and the dedication of VBS kids like yours! The Shoe That Grows is a tangible way for kids to relate to other kids that they don’t know. Something abstract like poverty alleviation suddenly connects to a real-life example—shoes. You can use our The Shoe That Grows Mission Project, a free resource that provides a pair of shoes, videos, cultural activities and printables for churches to use with their kids. Where it is difficult to have a conversation about such a large issue, our curriculum is designed to tie big concepts to topics in which kids are invested.
